Update: July 26, 2012
“I applaud the folks at Bella Vista II,” says Carrol Abel, past president of Hidden Valley Wild Horse Protection Fund. “They recognized a need to provide protections for wild horses in the area thus providing protection for future residents of their development. Our city needs to step up to the plate and require the same for future developments.”

Thank you for doing what you can do to help wild horses remain in freedom.
We need your comments against urban sprawl in Reno threatening wild horse habitat on the outskirts of Reno. If you live outside America we especially need your comments because these mustangs are easy for tourists to find. Please email your comments to Contact@ProtectMustangs.org by July 30 so we can get them to the hearing. These wild horses are accessible to the public without spending the whole day and a lot of money on the range in a 4×4 searching for them. We call them the Reno Wild Horse Ambassadors.
I’m confused. Not being from the Reno area and unfamiliar with the area in question:
1. Is this just a place where wild horses tend to forage?
2. Is this part of an HMA?
3. If it is part of an HMA why isn’t the BLM involved?
A little clarification would at least help me…
Not BLM land.
