Send the USA TODAY article to your Congressional Rep and 2 Senators via email and fax. Tell them there are only 332 Pine Nut wild horses left on 90,000 acres close to Lake Tahoe and Carson City, NV. Ask your elected officials to intervene to PROTECT this federally protected and treasured herd who belongs to all Americans from coast to coast. Make sure they know they are UNDERPOPULATED (only 332 left on the vast range), healthy and loved by the community at large! Stop the Roundup and Stop Forcibly Drugging Native Wild Horses with PZP, Sterilizing them or Experimenting on them!

It’s ridiculous that this action is even necessary, especially since our wild free-roaming horses and burros are SUPPOSED to be protected.

Our wild horses finally have a chance.Please join us and join Protect mustangs for $5.00 membership .These wild horses are already protected but the BLM is doing the opposite.we must call our govt officials and the Presidents line 202 456 1111 and inform them that we the American people want the protection promised these Icons of the West.
There are too few wild horses left in the Pine Nut herd to even remotely justify the draconian action about to be taken by the BLM. The only possible conclusion to be reached is that the BLM intends to exterminate this herd and zero out the HMA. BLM has done this sort of thing before, notably in Wyoming where herds have recently been rounded up and HMAs zeroed out. BLM must be stopped.
90,000 acres and only 332 wild horses that means each horse can have 271 acres. BLM understand that it is not those horses destroying the land it is those nearly 5,000 head of privately owned livestock. Reduce the ranchers herd sizes or reduce the months they are allowed to graze or best yet get all the privately owned cattle off any drought and damaged land. This land is public and leave our wild horses alone. Private livestock on private land.
