Poppy (#1196) deserves to live in safety

PM Poppy #1196 3-Strike PVC FB

Poppy (#1196) is from the Silver King Herd Management Area (HMA) in Nevada. She was 5-years-old when she was rounded up to never have any sense of freedom or family again.

This American mustang survived in the wild as a foal when so many perish due to natural causes. Life in the wild is harsh and only about 50% of the foals born will live to be 2-years-old. This is survival of the fittest and exactly what makes American mustangs such a strong and special breed.

Now Poppy is 7 and has been help captive for 2 years without shade or shelter . . .

Please Help Poppy! She has been passed over in 3 adoptions because her photos are bad. That shouldn’t ruin her life. It’s not her fault.

By sharing this post on Facebook, Twitter and by email you can help Poppy find her forever home. She is for sale for $25 and she is wild. That means she will need to go to a trainer for gentling or her new person would need to borrow a high fenced round pen and gentle her like so many people do–with LOVE and patience.

Together we can make this happen!

  1. I’m fuming with rage and disbelief…
For the life of me I cannot comprehend how is it that 99.9% of the American public is vehemently against these atrocities done to our beloved wild horses and burros by primarily using fundings ( our tax payers money) that should be devoted to programs that allows these self sufficient animals, symbols – ironically enough of FREEDOM – to continue to peacefully inhabit their harsh territory and create a balanced ecosystem like they have done for a long time..while a very small group of powerful scum people, profits driven, cynical, cruel and apparently capable of horrific actions backed up by laws, rules and regulation that seem to have been put into place to exterminate and wiped out completely these iconic animals rather than protect them and allows them to strive continue their “operation extermination” as usual..Why is it that, no matter how loud WE the majority of the public scream, yell and rebel against their unfair doing.. nothing seem to stop or prevent them from do it all over again, how is it possible that our voices continue to get ignored and these mental midgedts are still free to use our money to inflict pain and suffering to all the ranges horses for their profit?? WE THE PEOPLE need to change this, yesterday.. before it’s too late.. PLEASE somebody, anybody that has the power to be heard needs to come forward and act swiftly before there is nothing there to save…

  2. Some day they will be no more. Governments wants them gone obviously. Better take pics while they are all still alive…….shame on you ‘government’…..we all know those numbers are inflated and not accurate. Just an excuse to ride the horses for more cattle.

  3. How about contacting Best Friends Animal Society iN Kanab, Utah? They are a well established organization that takes animals that may have trouble finding homes? Just Google them for contact info.

  4. safty homes for all animals and cows in india and for this horse for akk animals

  5. THIS MAKES ME ILL! I WOULD GLADLY PAY FOR THESE BEAUTIFUL HORSES IF I LIVED SOMEWHERE THAT I COULD HAVE THEM. WHY CAN’T THEY JUST BE LEFT ALONE TO LIVE THEIR LIVES IN PEACE???? PLEASE, GOD, HAVE MERCY ON THESE BEAUTIFUL, INNOCENT CREATURES. SAVE THEM FROM THE CRUELTY OF MAN.

  6. The BLM..is a travesty. Remove THEM from management of our wild horses and burros. Unhindered freedom to roam IS the ANSWER!!!
