July 2, 2012 11:45 p.m. Much gratitude to the firemen. Prayers to keep all the residents safe. The winds have changed directions and the wild horses are downslope. Let’s hope the mustangs stay safe through the night. Thank YOU everyone for your prayers. Thank you Taylor James for contacting us and taking photos. Thank you News 4 and 8 for covering the story. Scared mustangs ripped from their homes and trapped in pens, with a fire across the dirt road . . . We hope they are OK from all the smoke exposure. The fire is not out yet.

my god…to what extent are the horses endangered? what are the odds the smoke will go toward them? the devils in the blm should set them free.
Maybe they will let them go as G-D intended ===That would be great, If they get Hurt there will be legal Hell to Pay speaking w/ animal rescue sites and Green Peace . Its On=== The Lawsuit !
The BLM had better get their butts over there with those “water trucks”. those are the horses and babies that were just run off of Johnson. this makes my head hurt.
thanks for the update: Anne!
Standard wild fire safety procedures for livestock penned in the path of oncoming flames:
1) Physically evacuate the animals from the area by trailer
2) If evacuation is not possible, release the animals from their enclosures and let
them run at will.
The BLM needs to follow THESE ’emergency’ procedures!
Let those horses out of there–they are wild and will escape the fire and smoke. Or–BLM get those horses loaded into your big trailers and get them to safety. So totally tee-ed off at BLM–let’s see what “words” they use to explain this event–“non-capture related”?? Thanks for the news.
