News 4 awaits the Governor’s response to Damonte roundups

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) — The Nevada Department of Agriculture removed more than 10 wild horses from the Damonte Ranch area early this morning.

Advocates against the round up were back on scene today. The pen where the horses had been trapped was empty.

The horses were captured Tuesday and advocates lined the streets in protest.

Advocates on scene say they are against the round up but the transfer went smoothly.

News 4 is waiting to hear back from the Governor’s office about the controversial round ups in the area.
