Utah elected officials want to kill and slaughter wild horses

With no head counts and only biased estimate from the Bureau of Land Management, a deadly bill is proposed in the state of Utah

Rather than fighting for American wild horses and burros to have their rights upheld on public land, the Pesticide PZP pushing groups are lobbying hard to have their “vaccine” used for pest control. Pest control you ask? Yes, a pesticide is used for pest control. In the EPA Pesticide Fact sheet, it states that the registrant of Pesticide PZP, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), called them “pests”.

This is the first time America’s native wild horses and burros have been labeled “pests”. Do you agree that indigenous wild horses are pests? How can an animal with origins in America be a “pest”?

Pests are invasive species. Wild horses are native.

Curiously many required forms required on the pesticide application received waivers and that only bring many questions to light. How did the registrant get environmental waivers and such? Was an expensive consulting firm brought in to push the Pesticide PZP application through or did HSUS pull strings inside the EPA?

The Pesticide PZP pushing groups, under the hand of HSUS, keep shouting they want “fertility control” for a fake problem. A fake problem you ask? Yes, fake. The National Academy of Sciences stated there is “no evidence of overpopulation” in their 2013 report. Despite this fact, those looking to rape the public land of her resources push the overpopulation myth.

Rather than fight to protect the last American wild horses and burros in the West–PZP Advocates lobby with bad-science booklets in hand–to have the wild equids darted with a “vaccine” made out of slaughterhouse pig ovaries for population control.

The truth is simple–When the public is informed about the dangers of Pesticide PZP they are horrified.

Fact: Drugging up wild horses with a dangerous pesticide sterilizes after multiple uses. The pesticide also ruins natural selection and wrecks havoc with native wild horses’ immune systems putting them at risk of massive die-offs. Exploiters–vying to make billions on public land occupied by wild horses and burros–have jumped on the twisted notion of “fertility control” without a head count erupting out of the Pesticide PZP pusher’s expensive PR campaign. They push for quick population control. They hail pesticide-vaccines for sterilization, grotesque sterilization experiments on pregnant wild horses and lobby to send America’s icons of freedom off to slaughter to be eaten as a delicacy abroad.

Fear mongering the public that it’s either PZP or Slaughter will no longer be tolerated. Pesticide PZP Advocates need to stop trying to manipulate people’s emotions to support their pesticide for birth control and leave our wild ones alone. We demand protection for America’s last wild horses and burros now!

It’s time to stand up and demand a head count of the last will horses left in America. Are truckloads of stallions being taken off the range and shipped over the border to slaughter? We need a freeze on cruel roundups, forced drugging with Pesticide PZP, transport to slaughter, etc. so they can be counted now!

It’s time to expose the overpopulation myth as the wicked lie.

Brutal experiments continue on pregnant wild horses!

Did you know that right now the Bureau of Land Management, under the Department of Interior is still funding cruel experiments on wild pregnant mares for population control?

Keep in mind that the National Academy of Sciences Report from 2013 stated there is “no evidence” of overpopulation. It’s the end of 2016 and there is still no evidence of alleged overpopulation and the thugs in control won’t do a headcount. They just want to keep abusing innocent wild horses and burros who should be living in freedom. Sickos!

The brutal tubal ligation research on pregnant wild mares in Oregon was stopped due to public outrage but that’s it. All the other tax-payer funded experiments on pregnant wild mares continue. They are cruelly experimenting on them now! Did you realize that?

The Department of Interior is giving away grants totaling up to 11 million dollars for population control experiments–on pregnant wild mares. Are these experiments causing pain and suffering and do they violate the rights of wild horses and burros to live free? Yes. This a wicked violation against their freedom.

So while everyone was distracted by real threats of killing and slaughtering wild horses, the brutal Nazi-like experiments–mostly with injections–continue . . .

America’s last wild horses should never be used as “lab animals”. Never. How is this even legal to experiment on federally protected wild horses?

Wild horses have been cruelly subjected to experimentation for decades. This cruelty has been going on for so long that the Bureau of Land Management and their supporters think this is “normal”. Experimentation on federally protected wild horses must be against the law but there is so much corruption within wild horse and animal advocacy that no one is stopping this! Those organizations who support using Pesticide PZP as birth control will not fight against experimenting on wild horses because they are still involved with PZP experiments or receive funding from those that are.

2017 is the time to fight back the evil cruelty inflicted upon America’s innocent and voiceless wild horses and burros! They should be protected from experimentation, protected from being sold to slaughter, protected from being killed and protected to live freely in the wild.

Urgent: Take action now to stop the proposed extermination of 45,000 wild horses and burros

While everyone is distracted, committee members in the U.S. Senate are making life and death decisions for wild horses and burros on your behalf.

You can use your voice for the voiceless before it’s too late! Read the sample letter below to help you with phone calls, faxes and emails:

Dear Senator Feinstein, Senator Murkowski ,Senator Blunt and Senator Udall:

We realize you are about to decide on the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) wild horse and burro budget for 2017 on behalf of the American people. The BLM has been influenced by the livestock, oil and gas and other mining interests stating that Herd Areas are designated for multiple use, conveniently and illegally ignoring the fact that wild horses and burros under Sec. C get ‘devoted principal presence of their range areas’. We ask that you stand up for them.

Will the BLM use Americans’ tax dollars to kill off our wild horse and burro herds since the BLM’s own Advisory Board has recommended that 45,000 wild horses and burros be destroyed? This suggestion is disgusting and against the law and against the Wild Free Roaming Horse and Burro Act of 1971 passed to protect these incredible national treasures.

Therefore we ask that all BLM monies be specifically utilized for the following usages.

1.) First, American tax dollars be allocated to maintain, feed and care for all the wild horses and burro’s in holding.

2.) Get an independent headcount of all wild horses and burro’s in holding and on public land with public and press participation to insure that the head count is accurate as requested in this petition (https://www.change.org/p/u-s-senate-investigate-the-wild-horse-burro-count-in-captivity-and-freedom) This will insure BLM cannot skew their numbers for more BLM monies.

3.) BLM is required to start implementing a return wild horse and burro policy to their Herd Areas with a drop food and water program when necessary. This will greatly reduce spending five dollars a day on feeding the more than 13,000 wild horses and burros warehoused in feedlot settings known as short-term holding.

4.) BLM must return the 22 million acres to the Herd Area’s of the original 53 million acres designated to them which they have removed without any congressional approval. The BLM is blatantly lying to the public saying they have not removed any Herd Areas. Removing thousands of wild horses while removing their Herd Areas and allowing for livestock grazing beyond their legal limits puts undo pressures upon the land that would otherwise not exist were the wild horses and burros management program being followed as the original law intended.

5.) Do not transfer federally protected wild horses to states, cities and counties. It would result in them being sold into the slaughter pipeline when the WILD horses don’t do well as “work horses”. We see the cruel fiasco looming in South Dakota when wild horses have been impounded by the state. They are planning on selling them at a livestock auction with kill-buyers licking their chops.

6.) Stop the BLM propaganda machine to fool Americans paid for with tax dollars. The BLM has misinformed the American public about wild horses and burros saying they are overpopulated and destructive to the environment when in fact they are nature’s top soil enhancer and are designed to protect the plants they need for survival. Keep in mind that wild horses are indigenous to the Americas.

7.) Due to the BLM’s illegal selling off at least 1,700 healthy wild horses to a private kill buyer who made thousand of dollars at the expense of taxpayers losing thousands of dollars, we feel you need to take charge and protect the lives of innocent captive wild horses and burros.

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is amending its

regulations that establish the procedures used to prepare, revise, or

amend land use plans pursuant to the Federal Land Policy and Management

Act (FLPMA). The final rule affirms the important role of other Federal

agencies, State and local governments, Indian tribes, and the public

during the planning process and enhances opportunities for public

involvement and transparency during the preparation of resource

management plans. The final rule will enable the BLM to more readily

address resource issues at a variety of scales, such as wildfire,

wildlife habitat, appropriate development, or the demand for renewable

and non-renewable energy sources, and to respond more effectively to

change. The final rule emphasizes the role of using high quality

information, including the best available scientific information, in

the planning process; and the importance of evaluating the resource,

environmental, ecological, social, and economic conditions at the onset

of planning. Finally, the final rule makes revisions to clarify

existing text and to improve the readability of the planning

regulations.

December 1st update on ISPMB Mustangs

I’m posting this because so many people are asking questions and want to know what’s going on.

The State Attorney in South Dakota said he’s willing to consider proposals for the situation at the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros (ISPMB http://www.ispmb.org ). This includes evidence that funding will be available to the ISPMB for the next 18 months for the organization to get on their feet. He also wants money to cover all the county’s costs of caring for the ISPMB Mustangs. For example, if the ISPMB can pay them through January 1st if he would consider granting an extension for adoptions to occur, etc. Basically in the same breath he said the county will continue forward preparing for the sale of ISPMB Mustangs at public auction because the county has a lien on the majority of the 700 ISPMB Mustangs–Not the 20% who are being allowed to be adopted in this first leg of adoption. The State Attorney’s name is Steve Aberle and his number is (605) 865-3528 .

I heard that through donations the ISPMB has been paying off the money owed to the county to feed the mustangs. Adoptions will reduce the herd size. With a reduced herd, a sustainable business plan and help with management Karen Sussman could turn this around and save Wild Horse Annie’s Legacy organization.

Why did the organizations with millions in the bank wait for this crisis to finally help the ISPMB Mustangs with some hay? Why didn’t organizations help ISPMB when the Director needed it and when she asked to avoid this crisis? Did they want her to fail?

What happened when the PZP grants for birth control studies were over around 2012? Is this when the ISPMB started to be financially challenged?

I bet it would help if the ISPMB could move to a huge ranch with grazing to lower their hay costs.Then they could graze half of the year.

The money numbers I hear from the Sheriff and from the State Attorney that are needed to stop the rest of the ISPMB Mustangs from going to sale, are different amounts. The State Attorney wants an escrow account. He claims it costs $50,000. a month to feed them hay.

It’s going to cost the county a lot of money to get the ISPMB mustangs to sale in the middle of the winter. Horses don’t sell for much at auction in South Dakota. Of course that’s what the Kill-Buyers are counting on. A wealthy PRO-SLAUGHTER activist lives in South Dakota. She arrived at ISPMB weeks ago with trailers hoping to load them up with mustangs from Wild Horse Annie’s organization. Karen Susssman kicked the slime off the property.

It appears the State Attorney has at least one proposal on the table from the newly formed Wild Horse Sanctuary Alliance who has been working with Elaine Nash according to her update. I wonder if HSUS is part of this Sanctuary Alliance too? There could be some other proposals on the table as well.

December 30th I was told that all the adoptions that were approved by Karen A. Sussman by midnight would be honored and the mustangs protected. I don’t know when adoption approval letters are going out as I’m not involved with adoption approvals. So please be patient.

For all adopters needing transportation assistance, make sure you have filled out paperwork with the Fleet of Angels (www.FLEETofANGELS.org) who I believe has been receiving donations for transportation to help this rescue.

Adopters are required to pay for the Coggins and health certificates. If you are adopting a lot of ISPMB Mustangs and require financial assistance for Coggins, etc. then I encourage you to start a fundraiser on www.YOUCARING.com and share it with your network of family and friends.

Personally I find the lack of transparency and lack of updates with regards to this situation troubling. It creates a hotbed for Facebook rumors and drama. I hope the South Dakota State Attorney and/or the Dewey County Sheriff’s Dept. will start posting daily updates on Facebook because so many people are concerned.

I don’t want too see the Kill-Buyers get any ISPMB Mustangs and I don’t want too see any euthanized unless they are unable to heal.

I’ve received reports that the paid PRO-SLAUGHTER Trolls have been bullying adopters and spreading lies. ✨Stand Strong for the lives of these wild horses you are protecting! ✨

Several people have contacted me who will take the blind, special needs and old mustangs. A lot of those people turned in adoption applications.

The proposal to euthanize ISPMB Mustangs through a “compassion adoption” is outrageous and sets the wrong example for the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Congress. I hope people realize–after the tremendous effort our team leaders put out to bring in hundreds of homes for ISPMB Mustangs–that unless the wild horses are severely ill or injured people want to save their lives.

I’ve asked Fleet of Angels for the final count of the total number of ISPMB Mustangs who have offers for adoption and I look forward to the answer. I’m so thankful so many people worked so hard in the last 3 days to get adoption applications in. It’s evidence that these wild horses are wanted and deserve to live.

I’m so grateful for the outpouring of support to find homes for the ISPMB Mustangs. It’s a bit unclear what’s happening behind the scenes right now. I hope we will get updates from county officials and ISPMB in the future. Let’s see how this all plays out and pray for miracles.

URGENT: Adopters and Boarding needed for Mustangs coming out of South Dakota #NoKILLMustangs

I just got off the phone with the Dewey County Sheriff. The counties and State Attorney are in a meeting now to decide what they are going to do with the 700 Mustangs from the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros (ISPMB) currently in their care and control. More Team Leaders are needed to each find homes for 28 mustangs. Call me if you can help 415-531-8454 The deadline to get in adoption applications is Wednesday November 30th at 6:00 PM California time. Please adopt ISPMB Mustangs from Wild Horse Annie’s Organization and Save their lives!

I have heard that people are asking for donations to euthanize the ISPMB Mustangs and I find that disgusting! No excuse for euthanasia when adoption effort isn’t flowing. Fix it please!Even the older mustangs deserve to live! #NoKILL.

If everyone works together we can find homes for all the ISPMB Mustangs that need homes! Spread the word and find adopters! The clock is ticking . . . Get the adoption applications filled out, sent in, approved, load the ISPMB Mustangs with donated panels and get them in trailers headed for safety. I do not know exactly how many need to be re-homed but in times like these we must prepare for the worst and pray for the best. The Sheriff told me they have control of the ISPMB Mustangs as of December 1st.

We have reports of many applications being backlogged. Let’s get all the people needed involved to help move it forward to save the lives of ISPMB Mustangs.

We ask that the ISPMB Mustangs be protected and that people Do NOT Euthanize ISPMB wild horses and do not sell them at auction especially when the Tree Leaders are hard at work finding adopters and boarding for the mustangs! Working together round the clock we have found homes for more than 100 ISPMB wild horses just today and it’s only noon on Tuesday Nov 29th California time.

We have people willing to board adopted ISPMB mustangs through the winter in Colorado so you can have them hauled to your home after winter is over and the roads are clear. One awesome team leader will board 28 ISPMB mustangs that belong to adopters for about $175 each per month in Colorado and that includes hay. They will even board YOUR ISPMB Mustang for the life of your horse!

More boarding situations are coming forward and we need more offers please! Call me at 415-531-8454 if you can board adopted ISPMB Mustangs through the winter. Transport is needed too!

We can board a few at our new farm in Walnut Creek short-term. There are people in Reno who can board your adopted ISPMB Mustangs for under $200 a month (including hay) too!

URGENT: Action plan to adopt out 700 slaughter bound wild horses by 6 p.m. November 30th

I offered to go out to the International Society for Mustangs and Burros (ISPMB) in Lantry, South Dakota back in early October with a friend who previously had a nationwide horse transport business for show horses and had started out working for Bob Hubbard. My request to come out to take photos and videos to generate adoption interest from our network of supporters was refused.

I was told that someone was in charge of all the adoptions and that everything was taken care of. That’s fine. All I wanted to do was to have my boots on the ground to help our network of people adopt these fabulous wild horses from Wild Horse Annie’s organization the way I have helped adopt out many other mustangs.

November 1st we signed a lease for an 8 acre farm 25 miles east of San Francisco and so I’ve been very busy starting to fix the place up to bring horses in. I knew I could travel before November but not afterwards.

When I heard that only a fraction of the ISPMB mustangs had been adopted I hoped and prayed I could find someone to help me with boots on the ground in South Dakota. I called around and found someone who had gone back to South Dakota to help teach children on the reservation. Her name is Nancy.

Last week I offered to send Nancy to take photos for potential adopters but my request was again refused. I told Nancy I couldn’t send her.

I was told 1000 photos were on Facebook . . .

It’s easy to get lost on Facebook. . . How could I guarantee the mustangs from the photos were still there? I was hoping to help adopt some ISPMB mustangs, the way I know how to do it–with boots on the ground. This time it would have been Nancy’s boots–except my offer to send her was refused.

As it turns out, Nancy went out of her own free will. Her on-site offer to take photos for adoptions was refused so she left.

My plan was to take photos of at least 60 mustangs, place them and generate interest for others to get all the mustangs to safe places. I’ve been feeling so sad and so helpless as I’m sure many of you do. I don’t want any of these mustangs to go to slaughter!

I’ve seen posts on the Sheriff’s Facebook page made by potential adopters who aren’t being served. They want to adopt, they have filled out and turned in applications but people aren’t getting back to them. This is a huge rescue effort and I imagine this bottleneck is normal if there aren’t enough people involved so I’m not casting blame. This is, what it is.

Let’s turn this around and make things work to get all the mustangs adopted, but not delivered, in 3 days! The deadline I believe is 6:00 p.m. November 30th. Together we can save their lives!

Previously I suggested that many leaders should be at the helm of this rescue so they could facilitate the rescue of ISPMB mustangs within their networks. I can’t sit on my hands any more and let up to 700 mustangs go to auction where they will end up being purchased by kill-buyers.

Here is my proposal for the next 3 days:

Picture this: At least 25 Tree Leaders at the top of their trees (networks). They each find adopters that will take a total of 28 ISPMB mustangs! Tree Leaders are going to find adopters (private parties, nonprofits, rescues, ranches), answer questions, encourage and help adopters fill out and send in their applications. Tree leaders can help find boarding for adopters if needed.

Here’s how we break it down: 25 X 28 = 700 mustangs saved from the kill buyer auction before the auction!

At this point I want to ask you to open your hearts and PLEASE fill out an application to adopt ISPMB wild horses and save them from slaughter! You could board them somewhere if you don’t have room at your place. The legacy ISPMB mustangs are from Wild Horse Annie’s organization!

3.) Adoption contract agreement terms are negotiable, so line through any terms that you feel are unacceptable and initial those lines. The agreement to protect the horses from slaughter is non-negotiable.

I will make sure the group doing the adoptions gets your application and I will follow up on your behalf if you request that I do so.

5.) Let’s get the adoption applications approved then you can work with Fleet of Angels (FOA) to haul them out to safety! There might be some grants from FOA for hauling.

All applications are going to be approved by the ISPMB/Fleet of Angels team. Protect Mustangs will not approve any adoptions.

I don’t know exactly how many need to be adopted and how many the ISPMB will be allowed to keep if any. Of the up to 700 ISPMB mustangs left, I heard there are more than 60 mare-foal pairs who need adoption. I know that together we can find homes for ALL the ISPMB mustangs that need to get to safe places.

I was told the Sheriff will take control of the ISPMB mustangs December 1st to sell them at the livestock auction where kill-buyers are waiting for them.

I ask you to open your hearts, fill out and turn in the applications to adopt these wild horses without seeing their photos. You can help save them from being picked up by the Sheriff December 1st, shoved into trailers, hauled to a disease infested auction house in Phillips, South Dakota with kill buyers licking their chops at the hundreds of wild horses they can buy to take to slaughter!

Pesticide PZP, promoted for birth control, has caused the divide, subterfuge, diversion, attacks and hate while at the same time revealing its connection to money, greed and politics. People are fooled. . . zealotry develops. . .hate mobs flourish. . . Wild horses suffer.

Focusing on a pesticide for birth control of a native species–that’s already being managed to extinction–is nuts.

What happened to “Stop the Roundups”? PZP doesn’t stop roundups. There are more wild horses being rounded up every year. PZP doesn’t stop slaughter either. The number of horses crossing the boarders to slaughter has increased. PZP, made from slaughterhouse pig ovaries messes with native wild horses’ immune systems–that’s why it’s called an “immunocontraceptive’. Those pushing the pesticide call it as a “vaccine” for population control.

The fact that there are hardly any more wild horses left in the United States is ignored.

The fact that overkill is ruining the thriving natural ecological balance is ignored.

The fact that cattle and sheep are being poorly managed on public land and causing range damage is ignored.

Big mouths are scapegoating wild horses for range damage by sheep that’s wrecked havoc on the land years ago. Meanwhile America’s last wild horses endure living on public land that’s been ruined by livestock years ago.

We’ve done our part to educate people about PZP in the PZP Forum I created about 2 years ago. If people and organizations want to stick their head in the sand and ignore scientific facts about the many dangers of PZP (see the button above on www.ProtectMustangs.org) then they need to be held accountable when the wild herds are destroyed.

We aren’t working on PZP education anymore. That’s done.

Our focus in this movement is on helping to protect and save all the WILD horses we can save at this dire time in history. Dear Mr. Gorey,

Is it true that the Bureau of Land Management (BoLM) and/or the Department of Interior is pulling or plans to pull wild horses from the adoption program and holding facilities to kill them if they have any sort of special needs such as club feet or other alleged defects? Who gave the order to do this?

We officially request the following:

Take and post photos on the internet. 3 photos of each wild horse and/or burro you intend to kill. One of their face, one of their full body and one of their alleged defect.
Offer all special needs wild horses up for adoption for a reduced fee on the internet as an incentive before killing them. They have already lost their freedom and families. Give the public a chance to save them.
Provide transportation to the adopters facility if they adopt 2-4 special needs wild horses.

How many have you already killed?

We also request you take a photo of how you are disposing of their dead bodies after the Bureau of Land Management, their contractors or others have killed them. Are you burying them in pits at the holding facilities?

I pray that the Bureau of Land Management will offer these wild horses to compassionate people who want to save their lives or to sanctuaries instead of killing them. They have made it this far. Just because they aren’t perfect doesn’t mean they should be killed. After all, you have already destroyed their natural lives by rounding them up with helicopters, ripping apart their families, destroying their ecological niche and subjecting them to lonely lives in captive feedlot settings or long term holding ranches at taxpayer expense.

BREAKING: Is the Bureau of Land Management going to kill all the club footed wild horses now?

Rumor has it that during the pre-election frenzy, the Bureau of Land Management decided to kill all the wild horses in their care with any club feet or alleged defect. Yes KILL America’s mustangs who were being offered for adoption after they have been chased by helicopters in roundups, separated from their family bands, live in feedlot settings and forced to be branded, processed, then trucked around to different holding facilities.

Have they pulled them off the adoption and sale authority lists? Do the feds want to kill them instead of adopting them out or selling them to good homes or sanctuaries for $125-$25?

Who gave the order to do this? Where are they putting them now before they kill them? Will they secretly dispose of them by selling them to slaughter? Or do they want to kill them at the facilities and bury their dead bodies in pits?

Tibet is from the Divide Basin Herd in Wyoming. He had 2 Strikes and was facing his 3rd when Protect Mustangs saved him several years ago. Because his native terrain in Wyoming is different than the captive pens and different than terrain in California, he grows a lot of heel bar. If Tibet’s not trimmed regularly and correctly he starts to look like he’s getting clubbed feet. Would the Bureau of Land Management have ordered that Tibet be killed too if we had not saved him years ago with Blondie? They were both long yearlings facing their 3rd Strike back when the Bureau of Land Management was selling wild horses by the truckload for $10 a head to dispose of them.
